The viewer function of PhotoScape allows you to view pictures from your computer in bigger sizes and change the orientation.


Viewing Photos

Preview Pictures in Viewer

1. Select a folder on your computer that you want to view images of.

2. Click on the thumbnail image of the picture you want to view. You will see the preview of the selected picture right below the computer files index.


1. Double-click on the thumbnail image of the picture you want to view or press the Enter button on your keyboard.
You will see the preview of the selected picture in Viewer’s full-screen mode. 
 You can preview images via a slideshow by pressing Shift-Enter on your keyboard.

Note: You can preview effects and filters by right clicking on any part of the screen in full-screen mode and selecting an option from the menu.

Note: To view an image in Full Screen mode, double-click the image. Press ESC to exit full-screen mode.

2. To exit out of Viewer’s full-screen mode, double-click on the screen.

Note: You can also view the image size (in pixels) of the selected picture in the rectangle next to the folder with magnifying glass, and you can also view the image file size (in kilobytes (KB)) in the rectangle to the right of the rectangle containing the image size.

Note: The scroll bar on your computer mouse allows you to view the other pictures in the selected image folder in Viewer’s full-screen mode.

Note: Pictures can be added, with Windows Explorer, to the Viewer tool by clicking on the folder with magnifying glass found on the lower-left hand corner of the screen.

Note: Folders in your computer files index can be refreshed using the refresh icon found on the lower-left hand corner of the screen.

Note: Folders in your computer files index can be added to PhotoScape’s Favorites folder and/or be turned into shortcuts that can be sent to the other PhotoScape tools using the star icon found on the lower-left hand corner of the screen.

Note: The adjustable bar on the lower right hand corner of the screen adjusts the sizes of the thumbnail images shown in the selected folder’s images index.


Adjusting Photo Orientation

Change the Orientation of Pictures

1. Select the image that you would like to re-orient.

2. Re-orient the image(s) by selecting either the rotate left icon or rotate right icon located near the bottom center of Viewer,  next to the trash can (delete) icon.  The rotate left icon rotates the image counter clockwise and the rotate right icon rotates the image clockwise.

Note: To select more than one image to re-orient, hold down the Shift key on the keyboard while clicking on the images you want to select.
