Combine

The combine function of PhotoScape allows you to link images together into a larger image.
The individual images can be placed vertically, horizontally, or in a checkerboard style: both horizontally and vertically.

Adding Photos to the Combine Queue
1. Cick Add and then choose an add option.


2. Select Add a photo or press Insert on your keyboard to choose picture files from a folder
(The following steps below do not apply when Add a photo from clipboard is selected).

Note: You can preview effects and filters by right clicking on any part of the screen in full-screen mode and selecting an option from the menu.

Note: You can preview images via a slideshow by pressing Shift-Enter on your keyboard.

Note: Picture files can also be added by click and dragging the picture file from the thumbnail browser, which is found on the mid-lower left side of the Combine tool.

Organizing Photos

Adjusting Picture Layout

1. Select a tab from the top of the toolbar.

Layout Options

Down: Aligns photos vertically (one on top of the other)

Checker: Aligns photos in a table format (a series of rows and columns)  

Adjusting Picture Size

1. Within the Side, Down and Checker area, click on the drop-down menu.

Note: You can also use the drag bar to resize all photos by a certain percentage, or type in the value in designated area.

Adjusting the Edges and Margins of the Photos

1. Adjust the number or click the button next to the option.


Edge and Margin Options

Outer Margin: Adjusts the margin around the collection of photos

Intervals of Photos: Adjusts the space between the individual photos

Round: Rounds the edges of the individual photos

Margin Color: Adjusts the color of the outer margin and intervals



To Add Frames to Your Photos

1. Click on Frame.




To Add a Frame to your Favorites

1. Click on the Star icon next to the Frame button.

2. Select Manage the Frame Favorites.
This will bring up a window. On the left will be a list of all the available frames, on the right will be a list of your favorite frames.

3. Add a frame to your favorites by clicking first on it and then on the Add to Favorites button.





2. Select if you would like to set the size for all photos to fit, you may also select to scale all photos to a reference photo (the smallest, largest, or first picture) or you may select to have all photos maintain original sizes.



Side: Aligns photos horizontally (one to the right of the other)

To Apply a Frame from your Favorites

1. Click on the Star icon next the Frame button.


2. Select a frame from the dropdown menu.


To Adjust the Size of the Filename Displayed Beneath Each Image

1. Adjust the number (in pixels) next to Filename.


Note: A Filename (px) value of 0 will leave picture files without filenames showing.

To Adjust the Filename Displayed Beneath an Individual Photo

1. Rewrite the name in the text box below the Filename Color button.


To Change how each Picture fits into the Canvas

1. Check one of the boxes located in the lowest section on the right side.


Image Enlargement Options

Stretch: Stretches the photos to fit them into the canvas

Paper Full: Crops photos to fit them into the canvas

Image Full: Enlarges photos as much as possible while keeping inside of the frame, then fills in excess canvas area with background color

Image Full (No Enlargement): Keeps photos in original state, then fills in excess canvas area with background color

Horizontal Align: Left, Center, right

Vertical Align: Top, Center, Bottom

Columns: 1~36

Note: The Photo Align dropdown menu can be used if a photo takes up too little or too much of the canvas. If the photo is too little, Photo Align designates where the photo is centered on the canvas. If the photo is too big, Photo Align designates what part of the photo will be focused on while the rest of the photo is cropped.


2. Select a frame from the dropdown menu.
